If they are a publicly traded company it could be argued that lobbying Congress for beneficial legislation would be a part of their due diligence toward increasing stockholder value.
- talmand 11y agoYes, that could very well be true. As long as the lobbying is done in a legal manner, which sometimes it is not. But my comment was probably more correctly aimed at Congress than at companies.
