We use elmah (https://code.google.com/p/elmah/ https://code.google.com/p/elmah/) for logging our ASP.NET/MVC apps. It works well for us, nice accessible UI if you need it and a solid database behind it. Also RSS/Email alerts if you need it. We've got thousands of entries in there and even on the old SQL2005 box we use, it seems to work just fine.
