BTW, Check out smem ( http://www.selenic.com/smem/ http://www.selenic.com/smem/ ) for a more accurate reporting of memory usage - saves you from having to make the RSS correction, etc. It's from kernel hacker and the main author of Mercurial, Matt MacKall.
