When the major browser developers directly profit from being able to track users across the web, they're not going to make modifications to the way browsers work to prevent tracking. Not in any meaningful way. It's a shame so many people use Chrome. They're effectively giving an Ad company which specialises in tracking people, power to control how the web develops.
