I don't really see the connection. Care to elaborate?

  Sectioned layout with thin separator lines, white background, lots of padding. Each section alternating between Header/text and Image blocks on left and right. This is a fairly common layout, but when it's all set in Roboto - Google's primary body font that they developed for the branding purposes - it starts to look like an "over-influence". Except Google's version is more refined and doesn't assume everyone has a 24" monitor.
