In Chrome these all animate quite choppily.
- thebouv 12y agoReally? In my Chrome they're super smooth. Version 42.0.2311.90 (64-bit), Mac OSX. I was just about to compliment on that actually.
- tmikaeld 12y agoI'm on the same, lags enormously... Checking on Task Manager, it consume 100% CPU, GPU about 7%.
- thebouv 12y agoFunny, I played with it extensively after your post, went through the examples, clicked the hell out of them. All still fine. I blame sun spots.
- tmikaeld 12y agoDid you check the task manager? May i ask your specs? I'm suspecting that GPU acceleration is not working on all Mac's with Chrome.
- metamet 12y agoAnd moving the mouse around stutters the animation.
- sbilstein 12y agoSame, chrome on an mbp.
- paulirish 12y agoIf you turn on "Show Paint Rectangles" you see the entire SVG element is being repainted on every change, including rotating. Chrome doesn't handle this animation as good as it could, so in the meantime, they should to adopt a technique described by Charlie Marsh here: http://www.crmarsh.com/svg-performance/ http://www.crmarsh.com/svg-performance/
