I don't think the writer understands what gentrification is, or what the "creative class" looks for in their environment. Brickell's high rises are neither. The kind of people that gentrify places like SF, or Brooklyn, or a thousand other places around the world apparently aren't there in Miami. Because they would never want to be found dead in a place like Brickell.
