As a hiring manager, I'll take internship or side-project coding experience over GPA anyday.
Sure, a good GPA is good. But if you back it up with experience, you are ahead.
- jmount 17y agoI agree, and am not trying to make fun of the original author. The hiring company is going to look at the most relevant experience you have- and in some cases it is going to be GPA.
- gaius 17y agoAt any large company HR will have designated a minimum GPA merely as a mechanism to manage the volume of incoming CVs.
- nostrademons 17y agoMost of the applicants that Google accepts have side projects and internship experience and a good GPA.
