I wish they would partner up with duckduckgo. But then, yahoo wouldn't get the advantage of tracking people for ads.

- icebraining 11y agoMicrosoft is a provider of search results, while Yahoo and DDG are both primarily consumers/frontends for search. What kind of partnership would Yahoo and DDG have, if they don't complement each other?
- prteja11 11y agoMicrosoft is also a front-end for search - Bing. DDG has their own algorithms and indexing for providing search results. Not sure how that partnership would be any different.
- gcb0 11y agoduckduckgo uses all available apis (mostly bing) to show search results. all of those apis have a term like "this service may change at any moment". it would be really silly for a fortune 500 company to base one of its money cows in such a precarious position. only small start ups have the luxury of doing that. btw, remember why duckduckgo uses bing now?
