What's wrong with the meal replacement drinks that you can purchase at any drug store and are prescribed by doctors and such currently for people who can't conveniently eat?
During busier days where I don't want to bother deciding what to eat, I just take one of those. Why do we need soylent, when meal replacement drinks have already existed for years?
- threefour 12y agoTo me, meal replacement drinks sold at drugstore are to Soylent what Microsoft is to open source. Both have their merits and I use both types of products, but I really like a world with open source in it.
- brandon272 12y agoOne thing that meal replacement drinks seem to lack (among other things, if I recall correctly) is fibre. The ones I've purchased (Ensure, Boost, etc.) don't contain any fibre whatsoever. If you're at all prone to constipation and you rely a lot on those drinks you are in for a hard road.
