As long as you remember that it's a mentality of sacrifice that led to 183,000 Americans dying in Europe, but it's facist totalitarianism that led to 10.7M Russians doing the same.

- mseebach 17y agoThat's a fair point, probably clouded by the fact that the Soviet Union was, at first, an ally to Nazi Germany, and eventually celebrated its victory by forcibly annexing eastern Europe and the dozen of million people living there as a buffer against western Europe.
