I'd like to see AMD try and differentiate by being the hardware vendor that supports zero binary firmware blobs anywhere in the stack and provides reference boards where Core Boot is king. Being the open choice for geeks and security paranoid governments, with open firmware and drivers for everything they build is probably the biggest thing AMD could do right now to carve out market share against Intel that doesn't involve tons of R&D.
