What do you guys think of the new 12" macbook that carries one of these cpu's as a development machine ? Is it a really bad choice ?

What do you guys think of the new 12" macbook that carries one of these cpu's as a development machine ? Is it a really bad choice ?
- dagw 12y agoWhat are you developing? Simpler web apps with all your heavy tests running on a remote server, sure no problem at all. Heavy duty 3D applications in C++ with large data sets and long compile times, not so much. Basically spend some logging how much you stress your CPU and GPU during a normal day developing. If the results are "basically never rises above 5-10%" then the macbook will be fine.
- emirozer 12y agoI see your point, thanks for the feedback. Although my work is mostly based on infra nowadays, i use vagrant & docker to test things locally so i think i should move my worry over to the 8 gb memory part :)
