Ask HN: Any good books on Affiliate Marketing?

I would like to learn how the Affiliate Marketing industry works (especially, but not necessarily, in Internet), but all I can find on Amazon make my bullshit detector go through the roof. It feels like if the main point is to scam everyone, the reader included. Is there any boring, serious, textbook-like, book out there that gives real information? A book that treats this business as a way to exchange work and luck into money, exactly like any other business out there?
