It's sad that we've known this for many years http://www.sciencemag.org/content/281/5379/898.summary http://www.sciencemag.org/content/281/5379/898.summary but still incredible amounts of effort have been utterly wasted on pushing low salt diets. And as the article describes, this will continue. Truly the study of salt is political science.
