- semi-extrinsic 12y agoBecause that wouldn't fit the bill of unbridled techno-optimism that is mandatory in (particularly online) popsci/poptech reporting. Sadly it's also widespread in the scientific literature, as "publish or perish" meets "won't print methods/results that are not said to be awesome".
