Some markets don't need to be global, so don't need to be impersonal. If I am buying a second hand bike I will search for one within local area and friend networks. Then any new connection is close enough to visit, or anything I am just taking on recommendation is being recommended by someone I know. However fixing your bike is good anyway. You improve yourself and your bike.
