One of my favorite economists has argued that whether you have 1% deflation, 0% inflation or 1% inflation isn't that different. Most prices aren't really changing - you don't get much of the effects mentioned in the post or most of the comments. But getting the economy to 5% inflation? That brings a lot of dynamism back!
