But the individual neighbourhoods are much more livable and self-contained and the S-Bahn (suburban trains) efficiently connect all the sprawl. The individual neighbourhoods also have fairly efficient grids compared to US suburbs and usually higher densities (taller buildings, more multiple-tenancies).
