Did you notice that there aren't logical and in the if statements' expressions, but bitwise and? Wouldn't it result in something like `if (true & true) {...}`

Did you notice that there aren't logical and in the if statements' expressions, but bitwise and? Wouldn't it result in something like `if (true & true) {...}` being evaluated, which seems weird?
