You already have the option of paying extra for accidents that aren't your fault. Why would that be free now?
- cookingrobot 12y agoCurrently insurance is on the driver, because accidents are their fault. In a self driving car, accidents are the manufacturers fault, so they should have the burden of insurance. With a self driving car, you're really just a passenger, so you shouldn't need your own insurance to ride in one.
