Now Asm.js Is Available for JXcore Applications
- Touche 12y agoReally awesome! I guess the reason to do this is basically portability?
- cpeterso 12y agoSome node cloud providers don't support native code plugins for node. With asm.js, you can compile a native code library for high performance parts of your node app.
- Millennium 12y agoIt's not so much portability as optimization. Valid asm.js is also valid JavaScript, so it can run in V8 unmodified, but it runs without the asm.js modifications.
- cookrn 12y agoJXcore, for those who are unaware (like I was), is a multithreaded fork of Node.js. http://jxcore.com/home/ http://jxcore.com/home/
- cpeterso 12y agoAnd includes Mozilla's SpiderMonkey as an alternative to V8.
