That's exactly what I was seeing. If I take the laptop out of the room with the router I start instantly having trouble. Just being one room away, sometimes I can't connect at all. Even sitting right next to the router, my bars aren't full which is really strange. I'll try fiddling with the power saving options. Thanks for the advice.
