- compsciphd 12y agoproviding facebook username/password doesn't seem like a good idea :)
- pluc 12y agoYet some people do it without thinking twice. I wonder what's the reason behind asking the user for their credentials instead of using whatever Facebook API available for authentication? Either way, count me out.
- phsource 12y agoCreator here! I'm really sorry about having to do this, but this is the only way to make it work so far, since we can't get Tinder app tokens; after the initial authentication, the server only works as passive proxy for traffic to Tinder. If there's another way, let me know, and I'll gladly implement it.

- phsource 12y agoThis doesn't work with a web application, as we need to request a token directly from the FB API which would check for the URL to match the approved URLs for Tinder.

- veb 12y agoCan you not have "Facebook login" i.e. you don't see the auth on your end... ? FB handles all the auth.
- CaveTech 12y agoNo you can't. You need tinders privileged token. If you could get that with an arbitrary Facebook login then every app you use would be vulnerable.

- phsource 12y agoEdit 2: took this down due to Facebook authentication issues. Apologies for sending out a half-baked product, but thanks for all the feedback! Creator here! I realize that you have to input your Facebook username and password, but this is the only way to make it work so far, since we can't get Tinder app tokens. If we used the regular Facebook API, it would fail the URL test. After the initial authentication, the server only works as passive proxy for traffic to Tinder. It's a bit messy, since this was a quick hack.
- mfkp 12y agoRun it locally like http://tinderplusplus.com/ http://tinderplusplus.com/ or make it a chrome extension and it should work. Edit: alternatively, make it open source so we can see you're not doing anything sketchy with my facebook password.
