- harryh 12y agoTrading is cheaper than it ever has been. What's the problem exactly?
- tptacek 12y agoWorth adding: by "cheaper", he means "for every dollar a directional, buy-side, long-term investor spends on a security, fewer pennies are allocated to middlemen than in the era before universal electronic trading". The implications go past "your broker charges less to execute the trade": the secret tax you paid to specialists and market makers has also been competed to nothing, or in some cases possibly below nothing.
