HPMOR is a wonderfully entertaining book, one of my favorites along with George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire and (non-fiction) Robert Caro's The Power Broker. The first ~7 chapters are clunky and then it really gets going. Harry vs. dementors is particularly amazing. Even his detractors [0] call HPMOR a "cracking good read".
