Yeah, that seems very unlikely. The population was lower, tech wasn't mainstream, and being a nerd was the opposite of fashionable.

- astrange 12y agoBeing an accountant, civil engineer, or construction crew has never been fashionable, but people have always signed up to do it anyway.
