- xxxcausality 12y agoWHY YOU and most of the media, general population DO NOT GET IT 1.) what is the key difference between TRUE clock time used by the government and FALSE clock time used by a private email server? check your clock time on your own home PC. it will vary. send emails in Arizona with two different time zones or Daylight Savings Time. 2.) why is this important? historians and scholars examine the timeline of communications. Unix sys engineers and admins examine the logs and the TIMESTAMPS. TO DETERMINE CAUSALITY. 4.) Hilary has a TIME MACHINE than can shift causality. see google search for "baseball example" "lamport vs. Vector Clocks" 5.)Even HN readers have not taken distrubted computing course about vector clocks. the media and general public is clueless. 6.) It's know only WHO KNOWS WHAT, but who knows WHAT and WHEN. stress the word AND (conjunctive). 7.) Well it seems like a very very good idea... email message can be taken as DAMN THE TORPEDOES, full speed ahead! or it was a preliminary thought and I CHANGED MY MIND. But this would affect everyone. 11.) THE Hilary 'time machine' has an effect on CAUSALITY Determination for the 'historians' or even those who ELECT THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE USA. so, what's your opinion? Is meta-data and causality determinants sometimes AS IMPORTANT as email content?
