OpenSSH is a fork of the original SSHv1 written by a Finnish guy.
- bsder 12y agoBecause the license changed and said guy started expecting to be able to extort money out of people. While the OpenBSD guys can be obnoxious twats at times, they were definitely in the right when they forked the OpenSSH code.
- gonzo 12y agoActually someone else forked the code, and openbsd forked that because they wanted to rush out a release. http://www.openssh.com/history.html http://www.openssh.com/history.html
