A few years ago I discovered the McDonald's value menu. It was a great option on days when I was too busy to sit down for a meal--just really fast, cheap, and decent enough quality. I rarely see the value meal mentioned in articles about McDonalds' business. I don't know if it's because it's not very popular or if the profit margins are lower or what.
