I use the Website Hack detector http://www.webdigi.co.uk/blog/2009/how-to-detect-if-your-webserver-is-hacked-and-get-alerted/ http://www.webdigi.co.uk/blog/2009/how-to-detect-if-your-web... with another program called site up. It is easy & quick to setup.
