If a guy told you that he detected an undertone of anti-male sexism by anyone who brought up the lack of female CEOs, that all discussion of female issues carries an implied "See! Men are fine, let's ignore suicide, homelessness, incarceration, and every other problem", would you consider this a reasonable interpretation? I certainly wouldn't. I'd assume that he's intentionally misinterpreting people in an attempt to shut down discussions that go against his preferred narrative.
