My take from the article was that they just broke out the average entry SAT score of each race. Which concluded Asians needed 50 points more than whites to get into Harvard while Blacks needed 200 points less. But as said elsewhere, Harvard isn't looking at SATs solely - they are looking for "interesting" or future leadership potential.
