Poll: AI Possible or Not, Friend or Foe
Do you think AI is possible, and If so, will it be friendly to us (allow us to live) or not
- lkbm 12y agoHmm...I think AI will make us redundant, and we'll go away in time, but I don't think that makes it a foe. Not entirely sure how to answer. I assume this poll is referring to strong AI. Maybe we'll be phased out before strong AI comes to pass, but if consciousness(?) is a thing the way we like to value it as a thing, they'll eventually develop it, either by becoming strong AI or recreating some meaty beings--or just going to find the other meaty beings that almost surely exists elsewhere in the universe.
