I'm pretty dissapointed with the news coverage of Nimoys death. He died of "chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)." This is what the media reported, but it means almost nothing to me, and probably to most people. It turns out this condition is generally, but not always, caused by smoking, or have been a smoker. Not one of the stories I have seen so far gives even a brief description of COPD.
