By the same reasoning technology reduces the value of all people. But as long as we're all reduced we can still stay competitive to one another.
- dkarl 17y agoExactly; the old now compete with the young. It used to be that people's value morphed from physical capability to knowledge as they aged, but these days, you can keep doing the same work your whole life. The downside is that you can't look forward to relaxing and coasting on your accumulated knowledge. You can only look forward to relaxing and coasting on your accumulated wealth.
