Yeah I get that, but I feel there must be better ways to weed out wonks and crazies without putting a monetary roadblock in the way. How about n * 1000 signatures from people on the electoral roll? I think we live in a world where that's a feasible alternative.
- icebraining 12y agoIf the people signing for you are not willing to donate even £1, I'm not sure they're very serious about wanting you to run.
- easytiger 12y agoAnd how do you pay for the collection and verification of those signatures? Prob would cost around £10k ;)
