B-1 visas are the kind of visa that, e.g., a manager would need to visit the U.S. and meet in person with local personnel and customers. Apparently Infosys was bringing in foreign nationals on B-1's and they were doing software development in the U.S. The company denies wrongdoing, but they settled.
