Do you guys in the US really have to pay $150/month for an iPhone? Here in Aus, a 32Gb iPhone is free on an unlimited (data is 2GB) everything plan, including SMS, MMS and tethering, for just a bit over US$100/month
- unexpected 17y agoActually, it's $171 after taxes. I'm staring at my AT&T statement right now! I think costs will come down soon though- T-Mobile and Sprint are really lowering the hammer on prices.
- whatusername 17y agoWow. Since when is technology ever cheaper in Australia. Just to re-iterate: Upfront: $0. Monthly: $99 (Unlimited Voice, SMS, MMS, 1.5GB Data, Tethering) In US Dollars (even with the $AUD being high at the moment) that's about $89 / month with nothing upfront.
- jacoblyles 17y agoA reasonable voice and messaging plan with unlimited data is somewhere around $70 or $80 in the US. Unlimited voice and messaging will cost you.
- nailer 17y agoJesus. Here in the UK 500M is GBP 15. AUD 100 for 2G is mental, sure it wasn't as bad as that a few years ago ...
- BearOfNH 17y agoIs that $150/month the only plan available for Droid? Verizon has a number of (pay less/get less) plans for their more vanilla phones. Maybe it's a matter of waiting until next year. Been doing a lot of that lately...
