I don't have a 'video issue' as explained here, but I do have a problem with my my 'iSight' camera frequently not being recognized by Facetime (or anywhere else). The issue goes away upon rebooting.
Any ideas?
It's a 2012 edition MacBook Pro with Retina Display 15"
- jdmnd 12y agoI have the same issue on the mid 2012 13" model. The camera seems to stop being recognised whenever the macbook goes into sleep mode... no solution found so far.
- tsax 12y agoIt's really annoying and reminds me of Windows where such issues were routine and rebooting was not a big deal. I moved to a Mac to get away from such issues, and largely have, except this one niggling issue.
- aareet 12y agoI have that with my MacBook Air - instead of rebooting, try running this in your terminal: sudo killall VDCAssistant Works for me every time.
