FTA: American farm subsidies are egregiously expensive, harvesting $20 billion a year from taxpayers’ pockets. Most of the money goes to big, rich farmers producing staple commodities such as corn and soyabeans in states such as Iowa.
- rhino369 12y agoWell what does that 20 billion get us? I think the Corn Fuel subsidies get us exactly dick and should be cut. But maintaining Americas arable land and having the capacity to use is not only a national security issue but a global food security issue. Especially with the coming global warming crisis.
