As someone that was born in an ex-communist/socialist/whatever "no true marxist" state that had a system in which workers' assemblies owned and managed (large) state companies, but who (luckily) never had to read Marx, i might just ask this: Set aside the rosy situations where the workers share the surplus, what happens when workers collectively squander and fk up the means of production? Because, in reality, that is exactly what happened.
