Show HN: Hacker Slides – Open-source presentation app on Sandstorm
- sytse 12y agoImpressive demo! Within 10 seconds I created the app, made an edit and saw my slides reload in realtime.
- jacksingleton 12y agoThanks, that demo is all courtesy of Sandstorm - all I had to do was add the link to the README.
- sytse 12y agoNice!
- kentonv 12y agoI'm thinking we need to revise the "No Singletons" section of the KJ (Cap'n Proto / Sandstorm) style guide... ;) https://github.com/sandstorm-io/capnproto/blob/master/style-guide.md#no-singletons https://github.com/sandstorm-io/capnproto/blob/master/style-...
- jacksingleton 12y agoHah, such strong language. I must admit though I AM mutable and globally accessible
- Mandatum 12y agoAwesome! But I need images! Would love to use this.
- choppaface 12y agoYes, a simple image upload feature would be most helpful. But this is sweet!! Like the markdown-based input better than Google Powerpoint.
- chaiwallah 12y agoIf you need more, try a similar site I've just made: http://2sli.de http://2sli.de
- mintplant 12y agoLooks like images work just fine. It's GitHub Flavored Markdown. https://guides.github.com/features/mastering-markdown/ https://guides.github.com/features/mastering-markdown/
- nacs 12y agoIt also seems to support HTML: <img src="https://i.imgur.com/Qjmt6dD.png">
- kentonv 12y agoAt some point, Sandstorm will actually disallow embedding off-site resources via Content-Security-Policy since otherwise it is trivial to leak data out of a Sandstorm app, something we'd like to prevent. (Currently, this client-side sandbox is incomplete.)
- fra 12y agoThis is great! I'm eager to deploy it on my sandstorm instance!
