Finding talent is one of the biggest challenges facing my startup and most at the moment (and most/ all other start ups I know). I would rather hire someone who I can meet face to face most days as you just don't get the same dialogue working remotely as you do when you're sitting on the same table. This is coming from someone who as worked as a consultant working mostly remotely for the last 6-8 years, and I did a degree remotely. If I can't find a quality JS dev in London (it's not as easy as you would assume, but then I've only just raised money), then I'm willing to outsource portions. Still have a number of options!
