I would imagine something along the lines of - After you have been right so many times (and profitably so), people stop challenging you and just take your word as gospel. At that point, there is no longer a burden to convince people, which is a very helpful mechanism to keep you on your toes. This mechanism is what you then have to internalize and have out with yourself (and perhaps the very few people you have to work insanely hard on to keep out of acolyte mode) because it is now the only thing in the world that even can keep you on your toes.
