- ronnier 12y agoYeah, but this has taken on some other unexplained level of weirdness.
- jmiwhite 12y agoHow so? Fads generally involve some lowest common denominator form of a thing lots of people enjoy. Once the novelty wears off, reinventions (candied bacon, anyone?) become part of the fad's empire until it fizzles or reaches a background-level steady state.
