How hard is it to found a new university and get accredited degrees in Canada (or the US)? Seems like there's quite the opportunity to do just that if you can identify excellent and underpayed teachers. I think many students primarely look at the teaching and don't care all that much about the research output (outside of name recognition/can I get a job with a degree from X-university which is the initial motivator). Well executed positioning, offer great teachers more money/benefits/being treated like a human being and you could have a nicel little university set up.
