I'm using LibreOffice Writer and I also see it as four columns

  How peculiar. I've also been noticing in my classes that Libre office is outputting files that are mangled when opened with MS office. I'm not sure if its an Open source fail or MS up to their usual tricks again.

    If you can report it as a bug, please do so! Compatibility issues like this are the sort of thing they dive upon to fix.
