Thanks, yes it seems to be very different. It takes longer to get a SE degree in Canada so a clear distinction is made. By no means would I even say that it's necessarily better as I've hired and worked with some amazing developers with no post secondary education at all, so good people are good people. But it is a longer degree with quite a few more courses and a clear distinction is made if you decide to pursue it here. Cheers.
