Your income is strongly correlated with your health. The lower your income the more likely you are to suffer from conditions such as obesity and diabetes, and the higher your mortality rate will be. Health insurers can use income figures as one factor when calculating the overall risk of a policy.

- malfist 12y agoYes, but they can use that as grounds to not pay a claim if they find out. It's not illegal, but it violates the contract you sign with them and lets them off the hook for paying for things. Mind you, they'll still keep the money you paid them.
